Sharing through activity and conversation help bring people together and create bonds.  To assist those feeling displaced or lonely and who lack basic home cooking skills, the FaithCentre  established a very specific type of Bible Study designed to nourish the body as well as the soul.  Once a week, the FaithCentre  holds a meal preparation class and Bible study.  Individuals participate by cooking a meal together and then engaging in a Bible study designed by a member of the Bellefonte Council of Churches. Those participating in this “Bread of Life program”  learn cooking skills, develop an understanding of good nutrition, enjoy the camaraderie of others, and discuss the word of the Lord.

The Teaching Kitchen is also available to groups wishing to offer free instruction in ethnic cooking, nutrition education of food preparation.  Free cooking classes are held once monthly and are open to the public.
